2ch's Otaku Police are making wonders again, this time it caught a Muv-Luv Alternative Promotional Art Cover on tracing accusations to Infinite Stratos Art illustration. The series is included to one of the most anticipated summer anime this 2012 and because of this it's off to a bad start.
I've seen similar news about tracing in the past and I think artists and illustrators are being complacent that they won't get caught. A comparison of the two images illustrates that the two hot girls are almost identical that even the angles of the shadows are even copied. The impact of this incident for those who are living in Japan is probably big but for a foreign casual viewer who just wants to get entertained is negligible.
Let's see if the Otaku Police from 2ch can spot something in the anime itself. If they've pinpoint this type of thing then it's not impossible to do it in the footage. Let's see if we'll get amused again.. Here's the illustration from Muv-Luv Total Eclipse BTW.
