Sankarea Anime - First Impressions

I'm having second thoughts of watching Sankarea as I'm not really into romance anime. The last time I saw one is when I was in High School and that's like 8 years back. But I gave it a chance so I reorganized my to-watch list since I can still squeeze in some hot animes that otakus and fans are talking about. So far so good, I didn't expect that I enjoyed every bit of the first two episodes.

You'll never find someone being so obsessed with zombies this days, Honestly, I can only think of Writers or Directors being obsessed on this stuff. But on this Anime, the protagonists named Chihiro is one of the rare type of people that took this obsession to the next level that he even adores zombie girls. Weird as the main idea is and lame as I can think of, the truth is I enjoyed every bit of the first two episodes.

The Artwork was really something! and the staff highlighted on the sexiness of Rea and Ranko chan. If you're in the age bracket of 13 - 20, depending on the level of testosterone in your body you'll definitely look for fan service that the franchise offers. That means blood boiling and all the naughty stuff that normal boys think of and  it's definitely something that is hard to notice considering that I'm not into this kind of stuff and I consider myself a graduate of H related stuff.

The animation part is not that special, If I'm going to rate an A+ then they should compare to the caliber that Miyazaki movies create. What's cool though is how they delivered it, though I'm not into romance genre, I still like the show. The personalities of the characters are really fun to watch and that maybe the reason why I had fun watching it.

The first two episodes of Sankarea is a sure hit for hardcore Otakus and I'm sure that Rea Chan has earned a lot of fans already. I hope that the succeeding episodes would entertain me more and I'm confident that it will. On a side note, Rea chan reminds me of Enma Ai, they do look alike only Sanka is the older, angelic and has the cheerful identity.
